Ann Cowan, professor emeritus at the Health Center and former chair of the Department of Microbiology, has been selected as the 2009 recipient of the Osborn Biomedical Science Graduate Teaching Award.

Cowan made many important contributions to graduate education during her years at UConn. The award recognizes a Health Center Graduate School faculty member who has shown commitment to providing the best education in the classroom and training in the laboratory.
