Relay for Life Draws Students to Fight Cancer

<p>UConn students walked around the CLAS quad to raise money for the fight against cancer during The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. The event, which lasted from 3 p.m. on April 8 to 9 a.m. on April 9, was part of a nationwide effort to raise money to fund cancer research. The first Relay was held in 1985 and now over 3.5 million people in 5,000 communities in the United States – with additional communities in 19 other countries – gather for this annual event.
