The UConn Alumni Association is offering a new exclusive membership opportunity for seniors with benefits that will impact their senior year and their future.

Beginning Oct. 26, at Countdown to Commencement, seniors will be able to purchase a “Senior Year Access Pass.” The pass grants seniors a two-year membership in the Alumni Association, access to career networking resources with over 225,000 UConn alumni, and discounts to local businesses, as well as exclusive on-campus benefits.

“A challenge we’ve faced for years is that seniors are not aware of the opportunities which are available to them through the Alumni Association. It is a priority for us to alert seniors to the valuable resources we have to offer,” says Cynthia Bidorini, director of membership at the UConn Alumni Association. “The Alumni Association is a network of Huskies helping Huskies – and that starts senior year. Employers are looking to hire future grads now, and the Husky Alumni Network can help jumpstart their job search.”

The Senior Year Access Pass allows seniors to get ahead of their peers and enjoy alumni networking resources that will set them up for future success. Students can connect with alumni in their field of interest, find a career mentor, access information regarding resumes and interviews, and become part of an extensive network of UConn alumni around the world.

“We want to help seniors secure their future, but we also want to help them enjoy their final year at UConn,” says Bidorini. “So we’ve worked with many of our campus partners, including the Division of Student Affairs, to design an ‘access pass’ with benefits that are important to seniors.”

In addition to the career-related benefits, the Senior Year Access Pass also provides perks such as front-of-the-line access to Midnight Breakfast and free admission to UConn’s longtime tradition – Oozeball. Discounts to the Co-op, Wooster Street Pizza, Willington Pizza, Wally’s Chicken Coop, and many more are available to those who purchase the card. A complete list of benefits can be found at www.UConnAlumni.com/seniors.

The membership pass can be purchased for $30.00 beginning at Countdown to Commencement on Oct. 26, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Rome Ballroom. The pass will also be available for purchase throughout the year at the Alumni Center. Cash, credit, debit, and Husky Bucks accepted. For more information, please visit www.UConnAlumni.com/seniors.
