UConn students living off campus without power can visit the Mansfield Community Center next to E.O. Smith High School on Route 195 for access to food, showers, drinkable water and power charging. The shelter is open 24 hours a day.

CL&P is reporting that it may be two or more days before power is fully restored to the area.

If anyone plans to stay overnight at the shelter, they must bring their own bedding.

The town of Mansfield has set up two potable (drinking) water stations for residents to fill their containers: outside Town Hall (RT 275-side of the building) and outside the front of the Mansfield Community Center.

Residents may fill their non-potable water (flushing toilets, etc.) containers at two locations: Station 207 (1722 Storrs Road, near the intersection of RT 195/44 and station 307 (intersection of East Road and RT 195).

Please bring your own containers for both potable and non-potable water.
