In 2019, UConn sent 17 students to the 25th United Nations Conference of Parties Climate Conference (COP). The COP is an opportunity for world climate experts, activists, and leaders to meet and discuss how to best implement measures to combat the climate crisis. The UConn@COP Fellowship Program has been sending students to these UN Climate Conferences since COP 21, held in Paris, where the Paris Climate Accord was drafted. Students who have participated in the fellowship program get to be a part of history and often mention how the trip is a pivotal event in their UConn experience. See how the experience is likely to shape their futures.
