Achievement

Two Neag School of Education faculty members have been named Outstanding Reviewers for 2024 by the American Educational Research Association (AERA). Alexandra Freidus, assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, was recognized for her service to AERA Open, while Suzanne Wilson, Neag Endowed Professor of Teacher Education, received the award for her work with the Review of Educational Research.

Dr. Dominic DeMello, 56, of Northampton, Mass., a former resident and fellow in the Department Rheumatology at UConn Health, of on May 3.

Caroline Knox, 86, of Auburn, Maine, a former English professor, on April 24.

Marilyn Marchant, 98, of Glastonbury, Conn., a former instructor in the 1950s, on April 24.

Harry Pearl, 87, of Windham, Conn., a former employee, on April 29.

Dr. John Silva, 91, of Hull, Mass., a former dental professor at UConn Health, on May 1.
