David Croke has joined UConn Health as associate vice president for revenue integrity.

In this role he oversees efforts to help departments ensure proper coding, charging, and billing for services rendered to patients.

“David is a tremendous addition to UConn Health,” says UConn Health Chief Financial Officer Jeff Geoghegan. “Not only does he have a background in hospital revenue cycle, but he also brings extensive knowledge of commercial insurance operations. He truly understands the entire revenue cycle. David has already made a great impact in his short time here by leading the revenue integrity team to reduce claims that need revenue integrity review in Epic by 40 percent.”

Croke has 23 years of experience in health care, including six years in a similar role at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, and most recently at Cigna. He arrived at UConn Health Jan. 4.

“Our goal as a Revenue Integrity team is to be a resource for the departments,” Croke says. “We are there to help them reach their goals and initiatives related to monthly revenue and producing results.  Our objective is to support them any way we can, ensuring that everything is coming through accurately, and capturing all the revenue that’s supposed to be there.”
