Here are some clinical providers and researchers who recently joined UConn Health:<\/p>\n

\"Dr.Dr. Kipp Van Meter<\/a> is a family medicine physician seeing patients in Canton<\/a>. He holds a doctor of osteopathic medicine from the Kirksville (Mo.) College of Osteopathic Medicine at A.T. Still University, and has completed residency training in family practice at both Middlesex Hospital and the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. Van Meter also earned a Master of Biomedical Science degree at Kirksville, and before that, a Master of Biology of Science degree at Saint Joseph College in West Hartford. Van Meter has UConn ties: he earned a Bachelor of General Studies with concentration in biology in Storrs, and before medical school he was a research assistant at UConn Health, in the Department of Genetics and Developmental Biology.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"BrianBrian Schweinsburg<\/a> is a clinical psychologist with expertise in child and adolescent neuropsychology. He offers neuropsychological assessment to patients ages 4 and up at UConn Health\u2019s West Hartford office<\/a>. Schweinsberg uses this neuropsychological assessment to relate brain function to behavior for patients who may have attention deficit-hyperactive disorder, learning disabilities, anxiety or depression, or who may be on the autism spectrum. He holds a Ph.D. in neuropsychology from the San Diego State University\/University of California, San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Dr.Dr. Edward Perry<\/a> is a hematologist\/oncologist seeing patients in the Outpatient Pavilion. He completed a hematology\/oncology fellowship at the UConn School of Medicine and is now a member of the program\u2019s core faculty. Perry also is medical director of the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center<\/a>\u2019s Infusion Center. His M.D. is from the University of Alabama and he residency trained in internal medicine at George Washington University. He is board certified in internal medicine and psychiatry.<\/p>\n

\"VictoriaVictoria Cialfi<\/a> is a physician assistant in the UConn Health Department of Dermatology. She practices general dermatology in Farmington<\/a> and Canton<\/a>. Cialfi is graduated from the Quinnipiac University Physician Associate Program with a Master of Health Science. She joins UConn Health from private practice in Vernon.<\/p>\n

\"KurutihalliKurutihalli\u00a0Vishwanatha <\/a>joins the UConn Health research faculty following a postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Betty Eipper<\/a>. Vishwanatha is a protein biochemist in the Department of Neuroscience who has managed multiple research projects in the areas of fungal proteases, secretory pathway of neuroendocrine proteins and Rho-GEF signaling complexes. He holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Mysore (India).<\/p>\n
