Presidential historian Michael Beschloss was the speaker in the Edmund Fusco Contemporary Issues Forum<\/a> at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts on April 13. The title of his talk in this national election year was \u201cPresidential Courage and Great Presidents: Past, Present, and Future.\u201d He was introduced by University President Susan Herbst.<\/p>\n

Beschloss, best-selling author of nine books, New York Times columnist, Emmy-winning contributor to NBC News and the PBS NewsHour, and the most \u2018followed\u2019 historian on Twitter, also spoke with students at the Foundation Boardroom prior to his talk. That discussion was moderated by professors Christopher Clark, head of the history department, and David Yalof, head of the political science department.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
