{"id":114719,"date":"2016-07-21T08:56:45","date_gmt":"2016-07-21T12:56:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?post_type=school-college-post&#038;p=114719"},"modified":"2016-07-21T08:56:45","modified_gmt":"2016-07-21T12:56:45","slug":"uconn-womens-center-opens-next-week-outpatient-pavilion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2016\/07\/uconn-womens-center-opens-next-week-outpatient-pavilion\/","title":{"rendered":"UConn Women\u2019s Center Opens Next Week in Outpatient Pavilion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The relocation of women\u2019s health services at UConn Health to their new home starts this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The new UConn Women\u2019s Center opens for business Tuesday on the eastern side of the eighth floor of the Outpatient Pavilion, and will offer six primary services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maternal-fetal medicine (high-risk pregnancies)<\/li>\n<li>Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery<\/li>\n<li>Obstetrics and gynecology<\/li>\n<li>Prenatal genetic counseling<\/li>\n<li>Reproductive medicine<\/li>\n<li>Ultrasound, including advanced gynecologic ultrasound, and imaging services (scheduled to open by the end of August)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s really going to be a place where women can come for their health care in a beautiful setting with professional staff and outstanding patient care, and it\u2019s all in one area,\u201d says <a href=\"http:\/\/uconndocs.uchc.edu\/Home\/Physician?profileId=Lafreniere-Denis\">Dr. Denis Lafreniere<\/a>, medical director of UConn Health\u2019s faculty practice.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s health services are the last of the practices to arrive in the Outpatient Pavilion, where the first clinical offices opened for business in February 2015.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve always offered outstanding women\u2019s health services, and now we will have a single, dedicated location for them,\u201d says <a href=\"http:\/\/uconndocs.uchc.edu\/Home\/Physician?profileId=Brewer-Molly\">Dr. Molly Brewer<\/a>, chair of UConn Health\u2019s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The relocation of women\u2019s health services at UConn Health to their new home starts this weekend.
