{"id":114828,"date":"2016-07-22T13:05:04","date_gmt":"2016-07-22T17:05:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?p=114828"},"modified":"2016-07-28T16:15:26","modified_gmt":"2016-07-28T20:15:26","slug":"rising-junior-heads-olympics-team-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2016\/07\/rising-junior-heads-olympics-team-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"Rising Junior Heads to Olympics with Team Canada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UConn women\u2019s basketball junior <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uconnhuskies.com\/sports\/w-baskbl\/mtt\/kia_nurse_914054.html\">Kia Nurse<\/a> of Ontario has been selected to represent Team Canada at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio as announced by the Canadian Olympic Committee and Canada Basketball Friday.<\/p>\n<p>A first-time Olympic team member, Nurse will join seven athletes who competed in London in 2012 to round out the 12-woman roster.
