Husky great Kara Wolters was announced as an inductee to the Women\u2019s Basketball Hall of Fame. Ok, that was the day before, but who is counting?<br \/>\n3. <em>The New York Times<\/em> (double coverage), <em>Newsday<\/em>, SNY, CBS News, NBC News were all here to cover #The6thBorough.<br \/>\n4. A hats-off to UConn\u2019s Facilities Operations and Building Services staff for getting the campus and Gampel Pavilion clear of snow for fans to enjoy the game.<br \/>\n5. At 10:27 a.m., the hard-working Athletic Marketing staff was already well into putting a white rally towel on every seat in Gampel.<br \/>\n6. A full team of members from the ESPN College Sports Programming Team spoke to the UConn Sports Business Association before the game.<br \/>\n7. The great Mansfield public school system got some quality air time on ESPN about the number 100.<br \/>\n8. A great job by UConn Public Safety and other local agencies in getting fans to the game by resolving the detour issues on I-84 East!<br \/>\n9. ESPN\u2019s Rebecca Lobo hooped it up on an empty Gampel court in the morning \u2013 like she had played there before.<br \/>\n10. American Athletic Conference commissioner Mike Aresco was all smiles watching one of the league\u2019s most viable resources.<br \/>\n11. Auriemma on seeing the ESPN presence in Gampel \u2013 at the afternoon shoot-around \u2013 \u201cMan, this is more than the Final Four.\u201d<br \/>\n12. You know it\u2019s a basketball event when legendary scribe Dick \u201cHoops\u201d Weiss is in the arena.<br \/>\n13. Coincidence? There\u2019s a huge 100 on the cover of this year\u2019s South Carolina women\u2019s basketball media guide. It is their season theme.<br \/>\n20. The early arrivals included a ton of students dressed in white \u2013 and one in Houston Astros Jose Valverde jersey.<br \/>\n27. Monday was the first of four White Outs this week \u2013 remembers to wear white Thursday for men\u2019s basketball and Friday at both men\u2019s and women\u2019s ice hockey.<br \/>\n28. Every fan got their own white rally towel, as most fans dressed in white.<br \/>\n29. The Coventry (Conn.) Police Department presented the colors.<br \/>\n30. The UConn pep band played the national anthem, and the crowd joined in singing.<br \/>\n31. A UConn student dressed as Abraham Lincoln, in honor of his birthday we assume, had a sign that read \u201cFour Score and 19 Wins &#8230; And It Was Amazing \u2026\u201d<br \/>\n33. A group of UConn students who painted their chests \u201c100 &amp; Counting\u201d were right behind the basket and got plenty of air time.<br \/>\n34. At 9:04 p.m., South Carolina took the court with the usual response from the Husky crowd.<br \/>\n35. At 9:05 p.m., UConn took the court, with the usual response from the Husky crowd.<br \/>\n36. South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley received a round of applause when she was introduced.<br \/>\n38. The tradition of fans using the light on their cell phones has really taken off.<br \/>\n39. The opening tip by referee Joe Vaszily went to UConn via Gabby Williams to Nurse.<br \/>\n40. The first bucket of the game was by UConn\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uconnhuskies.com\/sports\/w-baskbl\/mtt\/gabby_williams_914048.html\">Williams<\/a>, on a layup 1:07 into the game.<br \/>\n41. The first South Carolina score was by A\u2019ja Wilson 26 seconds later.<br \/>\n42. The Huskies led 19-16 after the first quarter, as Williams had 10 points.<br \/>\n43. UConn football coach Randy Edsall got a big ovation when he was (re)introduced to the crowd.<br \/>\n44. When UConn trailed by three in the second quarter, it was the first time it had trailed by that much since the Dec. 7 game at Notre Dame.<br \/>\n45. The Huskies led 35-29 at halftime, as Williams had 16 points and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uconnhuskies.com\/sports\/w-baskbl\/mtt\/napheesa_collier_974866.html\">Napheesa Collier<\/a> had 13.<br \/>\n46. Katie Lou hit a three early in the third quarter, and on her ninth shot of the game.<br \/>\n54. The crowd was treated to a performance from the world famous Red Panda at halftime.<br \/>\n55. Williams already had her ninth double-double of the season with 4:55 to go in the third quarter.<br \/>\n56. UConn led by double digits for the first time in the final seconds of the third quarter on a layup and free throw by Collier.<br \/>\n57. The Huskies led 51-39 after three quarters, as Williams had 20 points and Collier had 18.<br \/>\n58. Williams had 12 rebounds after three quarters, and Dangerfield had six assists.<br \/>\n59. Williams passed her career-high and had 24 points with over five minutes still to play.<br \/>\n62. UConn won the game by a 66-55 score.<br \/>\n63. Williams led all scorers with 26 points, and led the Huskies in rebounds with 14.<br \/>\n64. Collier scored 18 points, and had nine rebounds.<br \/>\n65. Dangerfield led the way with seven assists, and came off the bench to score 30 points.<br \/>\n66. South Carolina had three scorers in double figures, led by Wilson with 17 points.<br \/>\n67. Alaina Jackson had 10 points, and a game-high 15 rebounds for South Carolina<br \/>\n68. UConn shot 44.1 percent as a team (15-34), but were only 3 of 10 from three-point range.<br \/>\n69. South Carolina was 47.8 percent for the game at 11 of 23, and were 3 of 8 from three-point range.<br \/>\n70. The official attendance \u2013 no surprise \u2013 a sellout at 10,167. Thanks, fans!<br \/>\n71. The post-game celebration featured the UConn student section holding up cards that made the number \u201c100.\u201d<br \/>\n72. Special \u201c$100 bills\u201d that featured Auriemma\u2019s photo were dropped from the Gampel Pavilion ceiling like confetti.<br \/>\n73. Players donned a 100-Straight Wins T-Shirt after the game. A crew from HBO\u2019s \u201cUConn Huskies: The March To Madness\u201d was on the court catching the post-game emotion.<br \/>\n76. After many interviews and photos,\u00a0Auriemma finally got a chance to address the crowd in the arena.<br \/>\n79. \u201cFor our players to know that you are here means an awful lot to them,\u201d he told a packed student section. \u201cIt means more than you will ever know.\u201d<br \/>\n80. \u201cIt\u2019s easy to come out to Gampel or the XL Center on the weekend, maybe in the afternoon,\u201d he told the rest of the crowd. \u201cBut for you to come out on a night like this and fill this place to the rafters, that might be more amazing than the 100 wins.\u201d<br \/>\n81. Finally, after all that, it was time for the usual post-game prize give-aways by Williams and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uconnhuskies.com\/sports\/w-baskbl\/mtt\/kia_nurse_914054.html\">Nurse<\/a>.<br \/>\n82. The UConn pep band played the alma mater and sang it just a little louder than usual &#8230; or so it seemed.<br \/>\n83. With the number of media in attendance, an NCAA tournament-style post-game setup was used.<br \/>\n84. The UConn Foundation has set up a special \u201c$100 For 100 Wins\u201d where you can make a donation and receive a special pin.<br \/>\n85. The Hartford Courant quickly posted an editorial \u2013 \u201cThe UConn Dynasty Continues.\u201d<br \/>\n86. The main headline of the Courant website was \u201cUConn Wins No. 100 Just Like The Rest \u2013 With A Comfortable Margin Of Victory.\u201d<br \/>\n87. \u201c100! Huskies Hit Century Mark\u201d from an Associated Press Tweet.<br \/>\n88. \u201cI just thought that for 18 minutes of the first, it favored our game plan, and then we had those turnovers and they went and scored. It really deflated us,\u201d said Staley, the South Carolina head coach.<br \/>\n89. \u201cI don\u2019t mind playing them every year,\u201d Staley said of UConn\u2019s trip to Columbia, S.C. next season.<br \/>\n90. \u201cWe had too many empty possessions where we got great looks, but we just didn&#8217;t come up with them,\u201d said Staley.<br \/>\n91. ESPN had a great Big Monday, with three double-overtime games and UConn\u2019s 100th consecutive.<br \/>\n92. \u201cShe\u2019s an extraordinary talent, and you hear that word a lot, and you hear special a lot.
