Professor\u00a0Michael Coyne<\/a> of the Neag School\u2019s Department of Educational Psychology has been named\u00a0co-editor-in-chief of The\u00a0<\/em>Elementary School Journal<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Also joining the new editorial team are\u00a0Suzanne Wilson<\/a>, Neag Endowed Professor of Teacher Education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, and Sarah Woulfin<\/a>, assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, who will serve as associate editors.<\/p>\n

This prestigious journal, first published in 1900,\u00a0seeks to serve\u00a0researchers, teacher educators, and practitioners in elementary and middle school education with peer-reviewed articles pertaining to education theory and research and their implications for teaching practice. It is\u00a0issued on a quarterly basis\u00a0by the University of Chicago Press.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to bring the\u00a0Elementary School Journal<\/em> to the Neag School,\u201d Coyne says. \u201cESJ<\/em> is unique in its scope and breadth \u2014 it publishes cutting-edge articles across content areas including reading, mathematics, science, and policy research. Because of its interdisciplinary focus,\u00a0ESJ\u00a0<\/em>reaches a wide audience of researchers and practitioners in both general and special education.\u201d<\/p>\n
