Find the answers to most food safety questions for consumers, home cooks, farmers, growers, and processors, at the UConn College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources\u2019 food safety website,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodsafety.uconn.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">foodsafety.uconn.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For more than twenty years,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.extension.uconn.edu\/bio\/hirsch-bio.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Diane Wright Hirsch<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.extension.uconn.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UConn Extension<\/a>\u00a0has served as the College\u2019s food safety extension specialist, working with producers and consumers alike.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt can be difficult for the various food industries in Connecticut to find the resources they need,\u201d says Hirsch. \u201cOftentimes they would call me<\/p>\n<p>and say they don\u2019t know where to begin.
