She is especially interested\u00a0in resiliency in the Latino family and in\u00a0understanding the strengths of the family,\u00a0culture, and parenting practices among\u00a0Latinos. Her most recent work focuses on\u00a0the Latino father in parenting.\u00a0She is currently conducting an evaluation\u00a0of a fathering intervention program\u00a0known as Father Works, designed to\u00a0prevent teen pregnancy by working with\u00a0young Latino and African American\u00a0males.
