The event is an opportunity to commemorate the African American community\u2019s African ancestors and appreciate the values they brought to the Americas during the Diaspora.<\/p>\n

This year’s celebration on Dec. 7 was also one of many events commemorating the\u00a050th anniversary of the AACC at UConn.<\/p>\n
