{"id":145012,"date":"2019-01-16T08:00:05","date_gmt":"2019-01-16T13:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?p=145012"},"modified":"2019-02-26T09:49:57","modified_gmt":"2019-02-26T14:49:57","slug":"looking-day-woman-stem-wont-issue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2019\/01\/looking-day-woman-stem-wont-issue\/","title":{"rendered":"Looking to the Day When Being a Woman in STEM Won\u2019t Be an Issue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Erin Young hopes that one day it won\u2019t be interesting to her daughters that their mother is a scientist.<\/p>\n<p>Young is an assistant professor in the School of Nursing and in UConn Health\u2019s Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences, as well as the assistant director of UConn\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/painresearch.uconn.edu\/\">Center for Advancement in Managing Pain<\/a> (CAMP).
