{"id":147184,"date":"2019-03-21T00:00:58","date_gmt":"2019-03-21T04:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?post_type=school-college-post&#038;p=147184"},"modified":"2019-03-21T15:46:26","modified_gmt":"2019-03-21T19:46:26","slug":"new-avp-arrives-oversee-revenue-cycle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2019\/03\/new-avp-arrives-oversee-revenue-cycle\/","title":{"rendered":"New AVP Arrives to Oversee Revenue Cycle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">David Croke has joined UConn Health as associate vice president for revenue integrity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">In this role he oversees efforts to help departments ensure proper coding, charging, and billing for services rendered to patients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u201cDavid is a tremendous addition to UConn Health,\u201d says UConn Health Chief Financial Officer Jeff Geoghegan. \u201cNot only does he have a background in hospital revenue cycle, but he also brings extensive knowledge of commercial insurance operations. He truly understands the entire revenue cycle. David has already made a great impact in his short time here by leading the revenue integrity team to reduce claims that need revenue integrity review in Epic by 40 percent.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Croke has 23 years of experience in health care, including six years in a similar role at the Connecticut Children\u2019s Medical Center, and most recently at Cigna.
