Church, Jr., 75, of Newington, a longtime employee at UConn Heath, who retired in 1997, on March 29.<\/p>\n<p>Barbara Ellis-Cascio, 78, of Pasadena, California, was assistant to the administrator of the UConn McCook Hospital in Hartford and assisted in the design of the present UConn Health hospital building in Farmington, on March 26.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. David Krutchkoff, 80, of Avon, a professor emeritus and founder of the oral and maxillofacial pathology department at UConn Health, on April 12<\/p>\n<p>Doris E. LeCasse, 95, of Windham, a retired secretary from the College of Agriculture, on March 23.<\/p>\n<p>Arland Meade, 103, of Bartow, Fla., a retired faculty member who was the head of agricultural publications, on April 16.<\/p>\n<p>Michael McAndrews, 73, of West Hartford, a former adjunct instructor at UConn Law, on March 20.<\/p>\n<p>Tessie Naranjo, 75, of Southington, a finance director for 35 years before retiring in 2010, on April 10.<\/p>\n<p>Jerome Smith, 87, of Mansfield, a retired professor from the psychology department, on March 30.<\/p>\n<p>Clara Taylor, 72, of Storrs, a laboratory technician of 27 years who retired from the microbiology department in 2003, on April 10.<\/p>\n<p>Charles Van Doren, 93, of New Canaan, a former adjunct instructor in English at UConn Torrington, on April 9.<\/p>\n<p><em>Retirements<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Phyllis Horvith will be retiring from her role as an administrative specialist in May. Phyllis came to UConn in 2005, and has spent the last six-plus years supporting the Office of the Vice President for Research. She plans to relocate to Boise, Idaho.<\/p>\n<p><em>Notable Achievements<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Stuart Brown, Director of Student Services at UConn Waterbury, has launched his own online Broadway music radio station, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.SoundsofBroadway.com\"><em>Sounds of Broadway<\/em><\/a>, which offers wide-ranging listing of music from the off-Broadway, Broadway, and London stages.<\/p>\n<p><em>UConn People is a new feature in UConn at Work.
