UConn Health’s Dr. Omar Ibrahim, director of thoracic oncology and interventional pulmonology (Connecticut Magazine).<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Connecticut Magazine\u2019s June 2019 Best Doctors<\/em> issue<\/a> lists 48\u00a0<\/em>physicians from across UConn Health. The listing is generated from The Best Doctors in America 2019 database<\/a>, where doctors can recognize other doctors as the best in their fields.<\/p>\n

Dr. Omar Ibrahim<\/a>, director of thoracic oncology and interventional pulmonology at UConn Health, is pictured on the magazine\u2019s cover<\/a> with a feature article<\/a> about the innovative robotic tool he uses for diagnosing lung cancer early.<\/p>\n

In addition, the work of UConn School of Medicine and Connecticut Children Medical Center\u2019s Dr. David Weinstein<\/a> is featured for his groundbreaking clinical trial at UConn John Dempsey Hospital testing the world\u2019s-first gene therapy for glycogen storage disease<\/a> (GSD), and the Department of Pediatrics\u2019 Dr. Emily Germain-Lee<\/a>, also of Connecticut Children\u2019s, is honored for her research investigations into rare pediatric bone disorders.<\/a><\/p>\n
