If you would like to submit a passing, retirement, notable birthday, achievement or a family event of a UConn employee or retiree for consideration, please email to <a href=\"mailto:work@uconn.edu\">work@uconn.edu<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In Memoriam<\/em><\/p>\n<p>James Campetelle, 98, of Storrs, Connecticut, who worked in Civil Defense at UConn, on July 4.<\/p>\n<p>Vincent Carrafiello, 78, of Monroe, Connecticut, a business law professor for 52 years primarily at UConn Stamford who retired in 2017, on June 29.<\/p>\n<p>Pamela Engelson Colwell, 53, of Rockfall, Connecticut, an administrative officer at the UConn Health Institutional Review Board, on June 26.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Thomas Devers, a former gastroenterologist at UConn Health, on June 16.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Elliott, 50, of Birmingham, Alabama, who held facilities positions at both UConn Health and the Storrs campus, on July 6.<\/p>\n<p>William Ellison, 83, of Cedarville, New Jersey, a professor of military science from 1972-74.<\/p>\n<p>Marilyn Cates Greenleaf, 89, of Columbia, Connecticut, who retired as Assistant Dean of Students in 1988 after a 30-year UConn career, on May 28.<\/p>\n<p>William Hayes, 77, of Mansfield, Connecticut, a communications officer for the police department for 22 years, on June 15.<\/p>\n<p>Brian Jones, 55, of Glastonbury, Connecticut, an assistant extension professor in the Department of Anthropology and Connecticut\u2019s State Archaeologist, on July 4.<\/p>\n<p>Gladys Lemieux, 85, of Windham, Connecticut, a former employee in Dining Services, on June 13<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Robert Lougee, 100, of Storrs, Connecticut, who was a faculty member in history and later became department head and Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in a UConn career that spanned from 1949-84, on July 6.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Maluccio, 86, of West Hartford, Connecticut, a professor in the School of Social Work for over two decades, on July 8.<\/p>\n<p>Michael McHugh, 86, of Storrs, Connecticut, a professor who taught classical languages, literatures and mythology from 1968-97, on July 10.<\/p>\n<p>Josie Marrotte, 84, of Largo, Florida, who worked with the Army ROTC in the 1970s, on July 6.<\/p>\n<p>Kate McNulty, 60, of Cromwell, Connecticut, a former adjunct faculty member and director of the UConn Treblemakers at the Community School of the Arts, on June 28.<\/p>\n<p>Donald Rome, 90, a former teacher at UConn Law for more than a decade, on June 15.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Nancy Sheehan, 64, of Middletown, Connecticut, a doctor at the Student Health Center for many years, on May 21.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UConn People is a new feature in UConn at Work.
