Pharmaceutical Sciences graduate students Karishma Dhuri representing assistant professor Raman Bahal\u2019s lab and Tingting Li from the lab of professor Diane Burgess, were recipients of first and second place honors in the poster competition at the second annual UConn\/URI American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS ) symposium held earlier in the fall at the University of \u00a0Rhode Island.<\/p>\n
The symposium is designed for students and young professionals in the biological and pharmacological sciences to present research, attend career workshops and hear about research in industry and academia.<\/p>\n
Founded in 1986, AAPS \u00a0is a professional, scientific organization of apporixmately 7,000 individual members and more than 10,000 additional stakeholders from academia, industry, government, and\u00a0 other pharmaceutical sciences-related research institutions worldwide. UConn\u2019s student chapter provides students with opportunities for professional advancement and leadership development, and fosters participation in outreach activities that further the goals and objectives of AAPS.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
