{"id":159113,"date":"2020-03-18T16:18:09","date_gmt":"2020-03-18T20:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?post_type=school-college-post&#038;p=159113"},"modified":"2020-03-18T16:18:09","modified_gmt":"2020-03-18T20:18:09","slug":"uconn-law-rises-50-u-s-news-ranking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2020\/03\/uconn-law-rises-50-u-s-news-ranking\/","title":{"rendered":"UConn Law Rises to 50 in U.S. News Ranking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UConn School of Law, the top-ranked public law school in the Northeast, has risen to a rank of 50 in the U.S. News &amp; World Report\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/best-graduate-schools\/top-law-schools\/university-of-connecticut-03026\" rel=\"nofollow\">list of Best Law Schools<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;While no ranking can capture the full strengths of a law school, we are proud of the steps we have taken to continue improving outcomes for our students,\u201d Dean Timothy Fisher said. \u201cOur graduates&#8217; employment prospects continue to improve, with 97.8 percent of the class of 2018 employed, thanks to a terrific careers staff, loyal alumni and the fine reputation that UConn Law and our students have in the legal community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 2021 ranking gave the UConn School of Law a two-point boost from the 2020 rank of 52. The law school also rose four points for part-time law, to a rank of sixth in the nation.<\/p>\n<p>UConn School of Law continues to be recognized not only for excellence but for affordability. It was recently listed 12th in the country by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/data.lawschooltransparency.com\/costs\/debt-income\/?scope=schools\" rel=\"nofollow\">Law School Transparency<\/a>\u00a0for the ratio of first-year salaries to law school debt.
