I chose this major because it allows for a lot of flexibility within the major while providing a rigorous and quality education.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who was your favorite professor and why?<\/strong><br \/>\nMy favorite professor, throughout my years at UConn, was Lindsay Cummings. She sparked my interest in Dramaturgy through incredible discussion and a vast amount of knowledge. She has also been a fantastic advocate for students within the Theatre Studies program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What was your favorite class and why?<\/strong><br \/>\nExploration of Acting with Helene Kvale was one of my favorite classes I took while I was at UConn. Although I am not an acting major, I created some of my strongest friendships in this class and I&#8217;m very grateful for the experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are your plans after graduation?<\/strong><br \/>\nI&#8217;m planning on attending the National Theatre Institute for a semester, concentrating in acting. Further down the line, I&#8217;m planning on going to graduate school to study acting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s one thing that surprised you about UConn?<\/strong><br \/>\nHow much I had to walk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s your favorite thing about UConn?<\/strong><br \/>\nIce cream and friends!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What activities were you involved with on campus?<\/strong><br \/>\nI&#8217;m extremely involved in Connecticut Repertory Theatre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s one thing all UConn students should do during their time at UConn?<\/strong><br \/>\nWatch a sunset on Horsebarn Hill.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How has UConn prepared you for the next chapter in your life?<\/strong><br \/>\nBecause I have experience in many aspects of theater, due to the drama program, I feel as if my knowledge in theater is well-rounded and will give me the opportunity to pursue a job in many different theatrical elements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s something you learned in a class that you&#8217;ll always remember?<\/strong><br \/>\nIt&#8217;s ok to say no.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What were some of the things you had never done before you came to UConn?<\/strong><br \/>\nAct and work for a professional theater company.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is one thing that will always make you think of UConn?<\/strong><br \/>\nA 24-Hour Play Festival and styrofoam heads.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s something good about UConn that not many people know?<\/strong><br \/>\nThere are so many student-run events and performances that are meaningful and free!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Any advice for incoming first-year students?<\/strong><br \/>\nMake friends outside your major!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why did you choose UConn?
