Jeanine Armstrong Gouin \u201987, vice president and managing director has served on the School of Civil &amp; Environmental Engineering advisory board for almost two decades. She estimates that about a quarter of the company\u2019s 150 employees, including one of its founders, are UConn alumni. While the firm has offices up and down the east coast, its headquarters in Cheshire provides a natural fit with UConn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe love the quality of engineer that UConn develops,\u201d she says. \u201cWhat I appreciate about UConn is that the school has not lost sight of the fundamentals of engineering. Some schools teach students very specific skillsets, like application of a particular software.
