Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences<\/strong><\/p>\n Bodhisattwa Chaudhuri, Ph.D.<\/strong> This study will include scale-up activities along with providing guidance to reduce the computational time bereft of compromising on the accuracy of the results. – Dr. Chaudhuri<\/em><\/p>\n Bodhisattwa Chaudhuri, Ph.D.<\/strong> (with Dr. W. K. Anson Ma, CBE )<\/strong> The goal of study is to explore different 3D printing techniques for manufacturing tablets and fabricate tablets at desired drug loadings and investigate the properties of these dosage form. – Dr. Chaudhuri<\/em><\/p>\n Na Li, Ph.D.<\/strong> The major goal of this project is to study the formation and spray drying stability of soft nanoparticles. We are identifying particle growth mechanisms in the solution and solid states and the impact of particle property, stabilizer choice, and processing conditions on particle stability. – Dr. Li<\/em><\/p>\n Xiuling Lu, Ph.D.<\/strong> The goal of this project is to evaluate in vitro drug release from ophthalmic ointments. – Dr. Lu<\/em><\/p>\n Xiuling Lu, Ph.D. and Robin Bogner, Ph.D.<\/strong> The goal of this project is to investigate the impact of cryopreservation and freeze-drying of Jurkat T cells on cell membrane integrity and viability. – Dr. Lu<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Department of Pharmacy Practice<\/strong><\/p>\n Nathaniel Rickles, Ph.D., BCPP<\/strong> This is a grant that supports 1:1 educational outreach visits, on opioid safety topics (prescription drug monitoring program, naloxone, medication-assisted treatments, and new modules to be developed) between trained Connecticut health district staff and pharmacists and prescribers in their health districts. The goal of the program to facilitate clinician behavior change toward clinical behaviors that support optimal safe use of opioids, reduce risk of overdose, and facilitate treatment for an opioid use disorder. – Dr. Rickles<\/em><\/p>\n Nathaniel Rickles, Ph.D., BCPP<\/strong> This award supports an extensive systematic review of validated self-reported medication adherence tools and report on characteristics of included tools that make them most useful for clinical practice and use. – Dr. Rickles<\/em><\/p>\n *\u00a0Grant awards listed in UConn\u2019s Office of the Vice President for Research OVPR\u2019s Quarterly Reports are those reported as fully executed<\/p>\n
