UConn has amazing academic programs, a multitude of research opportunities, amazing sports, and many options for weekend activities. It is also close to two amazing cities – Boston and New York.

What’s your major and why did you choose it?
My major is Civil Engineering. I came into UConn as Engineering Undecided, but our freshman engineering seminar class gave me a look into the life of each type of engineer. From this experience, I was able to confidently make a choice based on what I wanted my future to look like and what my professional goals were.

What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, I plan to move to New York City where I will work as a Staff Engineer at Langan Engineering. Eventually, I hope to return to school to receive my MBA.

What activities are you involved with as a student?
As an undergraduate student, my favorite experiences included being a Morale Captain for HuskyTHON for three years. HuskyTHON is my favorite campus event each year, as it brings so many students with different backgrounds together for a common cause. I was also a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Chi Epsilon, and Gamma Phi Beta.

What is one thing every student should do during their time at UConn?
This one is a no-brainer. Definitely attend at least one men’s and one women’s UConn basketball game at Gampel. They call us the “Basketball Capital of the World” for a reason.

Who was your favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is Norman Garrick. Taking his classes, I learned about how Storrs Center was designed and developed with his help. If it were not for his class, I would not have thought about the evolution of our downtown and how it changed the campus experience.

[1
[117
post-171331","post","type-post","status-publish","format-quote","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized","post_format-post-format-quote
"publishpress_future_workflow_manual_trigger":
["GET
