Plus, I wanted to see what it would be like to go to a big school that also wasn’t in the city. I appreciate the nature and wildlife I get to see out here; it can be very scenic and relaxing.

What activities were you involved with as a student?
I was involved in a lot of student organizations as a student. I was involved in the UConn Japanese Student Association, Korean Student Association, UConn Gaming Club, and KConn/Seoular (a dancing club!). I have volunteered during blood drives with the UConn Pre-Medical Society, helped move students in through Husky Haulers, and volunteered to clean up a state park through UConn Community Outreach. I have also helped with fundraisers with donation matches for BLM and Asian Americans for Equality through JSA.

How has UConn prepared you for the next chapter in life?
UConn has prepared me for my next chapter in life by giving me useful experience for operating in the professional world. I can better communicate and work with others because I have been exposed to different people with different backgrounds thanks to the diverse student population and beneficial instructors.

What’s one thing that surprised you about UConn?
Despite being a big school, I’d always see the same 10 people around campus. I love how “small” UConn actually feels, because everyone is so friendly and welcoming that the nerves of being at a big campus immediately go away after the first couple of days.

What’s one thing every student should do during their time at UConn?
Go to all of the dining halls! I think they each have their own charm, so it’s definitely worth trying them at least once.

What’s one thing that will always make you think of UConn?
My friends. I met many wonderful people during my time here, and I appreciate every one of them. (And also huskies. I will always think of UConn if I see a husky).

[1
[117
post-171576","post","type-post","status-publish","format-quote","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized","post_format-post-format-quote
"publishpress_future_workflow_manual_trigger":
["GET
