Mohamad\u00a0Alkadry, professor and department head of public policy at UConn, is among 39 leaders in the field of public administration selected to join the\u00a0<\/span>National Academy of Public Administration<\/span><\/a>\u00a02021 Class of Academy Fellows.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Selection of the Academy\u2019s new Fellows follows a rigorous review of the individual\u2019s contributions to the field of public administration and policy.\u00a0The 2021 class joins more than 940 Academy Fellows \u2013 including former cabinet officers, members of Congress, governors, mayors and state legislators, as well as prominent scholars, business executives, nonprofit leaders, and public administrators.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alkadry’s\u00a0research on public administration theory, social equity, and gender and diversity have appeared in dozens of peer-reviewed\u00a0articles,\u00a0book\u00a0chapters and journal symposia. He is also co-editor and co-author of three books:<\/span>\u00a0Women and Public Service: Barriers, Challenges and Opportunities<\/span><\/i>\u00a0(2013, 2014),\u00a0<\/span>These Things Happen: Stories from the Public Secto<\/span><\/i>r (2002), and\u00a0<\/span>Scaling Up Microenterprise Services<\/span><\/i>\u00a0(1998).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alkadry\u00a0and the new fellows\u00a0will be inducted during the annual Academy Fall Meeting, which will take place virtually and in-person at five host sites across the country November 3-9.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
