(Peter Morenus\/UConn Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Jung is a structural biochemist with broad expertise in several research areas, such as organic synthesis, X-ray crystallography, transcriptional regulation of genes controlling glucose homeostasis, and more recently DNA repair and bypass.<\/p>\n<p>Jung is originally from South Korea, where he received formal training in chemistry.
