Crow Prize.\u00a0 The $10,000 prize will be awarded annually to a team of mechanical engineering student inventors in support of commercialization of their inventions. \u00a0Awardees will be selected in an Innovation Forum by a panel of angel investors, inventors and faculty.\u00a0 Innovation and entrepreneurship are key to fueling the U.S. economy.<\/p>\n<p><!-- p { margin-bottom: 0.08in; } -->Awardees will be selected in an Innovation Forum by a panel of angel investors, inventors and faculty.\u00a0 Innovation and entrepreneurship are key to fueling the U.S. economy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Dr. Crow<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At Pratt &amp; Whitney, Dr. Crow oversaw the design, development validation and certification of the company\u2019s large commercial engines, military engines and rocket products. He also led research and development of advanced technology systems to meet future aircraft requirements.<\/p>\n<p>In 1998, Dr. Crow as elected to the prestigious National Academy of Engineering for his leadership in the engineering design of high-bypass-ratio gas turbine engines for aircraft. He was presented the School of Engineering\u2019s Distinguished Service Award in 1999. He is a past secretary of the Society of Automatic Engineers and a member of both the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
