Simpson,<\/strong> <strong>MBA,<\/strong> chief administrative officer, UConn Health<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stacey L. Brown, Ph.D.,<\/strong> associate professor, Department of Public Health Sciences, UConn School of Medicine<\/li>\n<li><strong>Regina Lester-Harriat, LMSW<\/strong>, assistant professor in residence, UConn School of Social Work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The event, organized by June Archer &amp; Eleven28 Entertainment, will recognize the contributions of UConn\u2019s honorees on the lives of people and other women in the State of Connecticut. Also, other women of color will be recognized from across the fields of business, education, entrepreneurship, entertainment, government, and public service.<\/p>\n<p>The gala\u2019s goal is to provide financial support for programs that support the advancement of young women of color. Event proceeds will support scholarships for young women who graduate from high school and plan on attending College, leadership and mentorship programs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese women should be celebrated,\u201d shared event organizer June Archer of Eleven28 Entertainment. \u201cWe believe these individuals should be honored for their achievements and celebrated for their accomplishments, along with their family, friends and support networks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am honored to be recognized along with 99 other women of color who are held in high esteem by their colleagues and communities,\u201d said Regina Lester-Harriat, LMSW, of the School of Social Work.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow honoree Stacey L.
