The principal mission of the Society is to advance the study of aging and disseminate information among scientists, decision makers, and the general public.<\/p>\n<p>Haynes was elected by the Society\u2019s membership, which consists of more than 5,500 researchers, educators, and practitioners who specialize in all aspect of gerontology including biological sciences, behavioral and social sciences, as well as social and policy research. As a GSA officer, she will be responsible for matters of leadership and strategic planning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe mission of GSA is to cultivate excellence in interdisciplinary aging research and education to advance innovations in practice and policy.
