Burdick (B.S. Frey<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Karl F. Frey, P.E. (B.S. Civil Engineering, \u201983) was promoted to president at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bvhis.com\/\">BVH Integrated Services, P.C.<\/a>\u00a0 Frey joined BVH in 1997 and has over 30 years of engineering design and management experience.\u00a0 Recent design work includes the Jackson Laboratory for Medical Genomics in Farmington, Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME and Central Connecticut State University&#8217;s new Social Sciences Hall in New Britain. \u00a0Under his leadership, BVH received the Boston Society of Architects Honor Award for Design Excellence for the Daniel and Grace Tully &amp; Family Health Center in Stamford.\u00a0 A member of the UConn Civil and Environmental Engineering Advisory Committee, Frey is a licensed engineer in eight states.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_19707\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19707\" style=\"width: 126px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/d45h139.public.uconn.edu\/sites\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/Joel-A.-Henry.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-19707  img-responsive lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/d45h139.public.uconn.edu\/sites\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/Joel-A.-Henry-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Joel A. Henry<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Joel A. Henry (B.S. Electrical Engineering, \u201906; J.D. Law, \u201814) is an associate patent attorney in the intellectual property group of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faegrebd.com\/index.aspx\">Faegre Baker Daniels LLP<\/a> in Indianapolis, IN.\u00a0 Previously, he was an electrical project engineer with United Technologies Aerospace Systems, leading engineering efforts and managing all aspects regarding international trade compliance for the company.\u00a0 A 12-year member of the Air National Guard, Henry received the Air Force Achievement Medal for meritorious service and is captain and cyberspace operations officer in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_19708\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19708\" style=\"width: 127px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/d45h139.public.uconn.edu\/sites\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/James-W.-Long.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-19708  img-responsive lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/d45h139.public.uconn.edu\/sites\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/James-W.-Long-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"James W. Civil Engineering, \u201998) has joined the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbbt.com\/index.html\">Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel District<\/a> as the chief engineer.\u00a0 In this position, he will focus on the review and project oversight for the Parallel Thimble Shoal Tunnel Project, oversee capital improvement programs, ensure compliance with Federal and State guidelines and discharge other administrative duties.
