The annual Health Insurance Open Enrollment period for state of Connecticut employees will be held from Monday, May 1, 2023, through Friday, May 26, 2023. <\/strong>Any changes made during Open Enrollment will be effective July 1, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Care Compass website (https:\/\/carecompass.ct.gov\/openenrollment\/<\/a>) includes information about the plans, rates, and changes for the upcoming year.<\/p>\n

No action is required if you wish to remain enrolled in your current coverage; your current elections will automatically continue.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

A summary of your current health plans\/coverages can be viewed on the Core -CT home page > Benefits > Benefits Summary.<\/p>\n

New This Year<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

New Member ID Cards will be mailed by the carrier to all members (including those who don\u2019t make any changes) by July 1.<\/p>\n

Employees will have access to a personalized benefits portal – https:\/\/carecompass.ct.gov\/.<\/a><\/p>\n

Quantum Health Care Coordinators are available at (833) 740-3258 to answer questions regarding the benefit plans and the Health Enhancement Program (HEP).<\/p>\n

The Office of the State Comptroller will sponsor a series of live virtual Q&A Sessions during the annual Open Enrollment period; details are available at https:\/\/carecompass.ct.gov\/benefits-enrollment\/#QA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Making Changes<\/em> <\/strong><\/p>\n

During open enrollment, you may: change medical and\/or dental plans; add or drop coverage for your eligible family members; enroll if you previously waived coverage; enroll in the Health Enhancement Program (HEP) if you previously waived enrollment.<\/p>\n

Employees who wish to make changes during this open enrollment period may enter changes directly in CORE-CT<\/a> until Friday, May 26, 2023.<\/strong> Again, no action<\/strong> is required if you wish to remain enrolled in your current coverage; your current elections will automatically continue.\u00a0 Please do not click \u2018select\u2019 on the Open Enrollment Event unless you intend to make changes.<\/p>\n

Instructions for entering changes and uploading supporting proof documentation into CORE-CT are available in the Open Enrollment Job Aid<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If a dependent is being added to insurance, a copy of supporting documentation (i.e. marriage license, long form birth certificate, etc.) is also required and must be uploaded directly into CORE-CT at the time changes are entered.<\/p>\n
