According to Becker\u2019s Hospital Review, based on patient surveys, our patients put us at the top of the list!<\/p>\n<p>Becker&#8217;s Hospital Review analyzed federally available data and compiled a list of the hospitals patients are most likely to recommend in every state.<\/p>\n<p>Read in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beckershospitalreview.com\/rankings-and-ratings\/the-top-recommended-hospitals-in-every-state.html\">Becker\u2019s Hospital Review<\/a> which hospitals like UConn John Dempsey Hospital are leading the way across every state receiving five stars for patient recommendations.<\/p>\n<p>UConn\u2019s teaching hospital is one of just two hospitals in Connecticut named by Becker\u2019s to be the most likely to be recommended by patients, having received five stars for patient recommendations.<\/p>\n<p>Becker\u2019s complied data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) from the Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS shares 10 HCAHPS star ratings based on publicly reported HCAHPS measures.<\/p>\n<p>The recommended hospital star rating is based on patients&#8217; responses to the question, <em>&#8220;Would you recommend this hospital to your friends and family?&#8221;<\/em> Hospitals must have at least 100 completed HCAHPS surveys in a fourth-quarter period to be eligible for a star rating.<\/p>\n<p>The star ratings, released July 26 by CMS, are based on survey data collected from hospital patients from October 2021 through September 2022.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/data.cms.gov\/provider-data\/topics\/hospitals\/hcahps\"><em>Learn more about CMS\u2019 Survey of patients&#8217; experiences (HCAHPS) and its star rating.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UConn\u2019s teaching hospital is one of just two Connecticut hospitals to be most likely recommended by patients.
