Nisar Ahmed<\/a> <\/strong>(Ph.D. Electrical Engineering, \u201807) joined Freescale Semiconductor<\/a>, Austin, TX in March as a Senior DFT Engineer. He was previously employed as a DFT Engineer and Design Engineer with Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX and in Bangalore, India.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Peter Himes<\/strong> (B.S. Electrical Engineering \u201881), MBA was appointed Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances for Silex Microsystems<\/a>, the world\u2019s largest pure-play MEMS foundry.\u00a0 He was previously employed at National Semiconductor, Winbond Corporation, SiTime, and \u2013 most recently \u2013 QuickSil as President, until the niche wafer foundry was sold.<\/p>\n

Faisal Hossain <\/strong>(Ph.D. Environmental Engineering \u201904), an associate professor in the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department of Tennessee Tech University<\/a>, was invited by the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Water Resources and the Environment to present his work on the effect of large reservoirs on regional climate. Dr. Hossain<\/a> presented evidence that large dams may affect the water cycle and eventually the hydrology of the watersheds contributing to the water balance of the reservoirs. His presentation may be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jianxin Tang<\/strong> (Ph.D., Electrical Engineering \u201989) is a professor of Electrical Engineering at Alfred University<\/a>, Alfred, NY.\u00a0 Dr. Tang<\/a> specializes in digital signal processing with applications to real-time digital filtering, communication, and control; inter-networking and network security; and large scale system optimization and optimal control.<\/p>\n
