He brings more than twenty years of industry experience, ranging from custom robotics systems to AGVs (automated guided vehicles), and most recently fail-safe control systems for nuclear power plants. Engelberger earned a master&#8217;s degree in Management Technology from NYU Polytechnic University.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-29110 alignright img-responsive lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/d45h139.public.uconn.edu\/sites\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/KKlapproth.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"244\" height=\"244\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 244px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 244\/244;\" \/>Kenneth H. Klapproth (BS Mechanical Engineering \u201892) has been named vice president of Marketing at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chasmtek.com\/about\">CHASM Advanced Materials<\/a>, a leader in next generation advanced materials. In his role, Klapproth is responsible for expanding the company&#8217;s market presence for its printed hybrid transparent conductive films (TCFs) and battery materials across industry sectors. With more than 20 years of success matching technically advanced products to market demand, he has helped companies small and large achieve double-digit growth. Nunes (MS, PhD Materials Science, \u201880, \u201883) was recently elected into membership by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nae.edu\/204037\/National-Academy-of-Engineering-Elects-86-Members-and-18-Foreign-Members\">National Academy of Engineering <\/a>(NAE).\u00a0The current chair of board of directors of The Cape Cod Foundation, Nunes was chosen for her accomplishments in corporate leadership and the development of next-generation green technologies focused on novel materials and processes.\u00a0 Election to the NAE is one of the highest professional distinctions accorded an engineer. Zimmie (MS, PhD Civil Engineering, \u201963, \u201972) has received an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. Presented by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marquiswhoswho.com\/\">Marquis Who&#8217;s Who<\/a>, the world&#8217;s premier publisher of biographical profiles, Zimmie celebrates years of experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field.
