{"id":206365,"date":"2023-10-30T17:33:18","date_gmt":"2023-10-30T21:33:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?p=206365"},"modified":"2023-10-30T17:33:18","modified_gmt":"2023-10-30T21:33:18","slug":"uconn-sustainability-and-climate-town-hall-11-2-23","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2023\/10\/uconn-sustainability-and-climate-town-hall-11-2-23\/","title":{"rendered":"UConn Sustainability and Climate Town Hall 11\/2\/23"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UConn\u2019s commitment to sustainability, clean energy, and battling climate change to secure a better future here and around the world is a core value that informs many of our operational and academic decisions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please join President Maric, Provost Anne D\u2019Alleva, and several key faculty and staff members on Thursday, Nov. 2, for a town hall meeting on sustainability and climate to discuss these important topics, including ways in which UConn is working toward <a href=\"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2022\/12\/uconn-aims-to-achieve-carbon-neutrality-by-2030-and-become-international-model-of-sustainability\/\">its goals<\/a> to be carbon neutral by 2030 and carbon zero by 2040, as well as to hear from leading UConn researchers in the fields of clean energy, sustainability, and the environment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The town hall starts at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, in McHugh Hall, Room 102, on the Storrs campus.
