{"id":209541,"date":"2024-02-07T10:00:25","date_gmt":"2024-02-07T15:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?p=209541"},"modified":"2024-02-07T10:06:10","modified_gmt":"2024-02-07T15:06:10","slug":"uconn-nursing-in-the-top-10-of-national-online-nursing-programs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2024\/02\/uconn-nursing-in-the-top-10-of-national-online-nursing-programs\/","title":{"rendered":"UConn Nursing in the Top 10 of National Online Programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/education\/online-education\/university-of-connecticut-129020\">U.S. News &amp; World Report 2024 Best Online Programs<\/a> rankings have been announced, and we are pleased to report that the UConn School of Nursing has placed eighth in country for its <a href=\"https:\/\/nursing.online.uconn.edu\/\">Online Graduate Nursing<\/a> programs.<\/p>\n<p>UConn is already ranked number one in the New England region for its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/education\/online-education\/nursing\/rankings\">online nursing master\u2019s programs<\/a>, so it proves exceptional to be ranked within the top ten of the nation. The 2024 online nursing master\u2019s rankings evaluated 204 programs across the country and evaluated more than 1,800 online bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degree programs. The best online programs include rankings of bachelor\u2019s programs and master\u2019s-level disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>UConn\u2019s School of Nursing offers a significant opportunity for online programs in continuing education. This has grown from past years to include <a href=\"https:\/\/family-nurse-practitioner.online.uconn.edu\/\">family nurse practitioner<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/acutecare-nursing.online.uconn.edu\/\">adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/primarycare-nursing.online.uconn.edu\/\">adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/nurse-educator-masters.online.uconn.edu\/\">nurse educator<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/neonatal-nursing.online.uconn.edu\/\">neonatal nurse practitioner concentration<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/nurse-leader-masters.online.uconn.edu\/\">nurse leader.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The graduate program was established in 1971 and has been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Its experienced faculty prepares skilled nurse leaders who synthesize the best evidence and translate it into practice to advance health locally and globally. Graduate students are offered flexible online programming, superior clinical experiences, multiple concentration options, and a superior certification pass rate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>&#8220;It is an honor to be recognized as a highly ranked nursing program among peer institutions. The past two years have had the highest applicant number in the school\u2019s history, this year exceeding last year\u2019s application by over 30%. Exceeding enrollment numbers and the high demand for nurses are a part of the school\u2019s growing success and have strongly contributed to the need for a larger school, faculty, and student population- all a part of the plan in the new <a href=\"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2023\/10\/uconn-school-of-nursing-receives-largest-gift-in-universitys-history\/\">UConn Nursing Building<\/a>.
