Betts (B.S. Computer Science &amp; Engineering and Electrical Engineering, \u201985) has been appointed chief technology officer at C\u00dcR Media, Inc., developers of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.curmusic.com\/\">C\u00dcR Music<\/a>, a social mobile and web streaming music application. Prior to joining the company in 2012, he worked at Artbox LLC and Software Development Group LLC, whose major clients included Konica-Minolta, HP, NIST, and Microsoft. Betts earned a master\u2019s degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/d45h139.public.uconn.edu\/sites\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/ed-fisher.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright img-responsive lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/d45h139.public.uconn.edu\/sites\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/ed-fisher.jpg\" alt=\"ed-fisher\" width=\"127\" height=\"160\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 127px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 127\/160;\" \/><\/a>Edward J. Fisher (B.S. Mechanical Engineering, \u201956) recently published the third edition of his sixth book of fiction, Lands of In-KO-8 Trilogy, through Xlibris Publishing. Prior to becoming <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greatcreativity.net\/\">writer<\/a>, Fisher served in the United States Air Force for 21 years and taught at Central Michigan University for 24 years, retiring as a professor emeritus. Gere (B.S. Civil Engineering, \u201992) was promoted to chief operating officer at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sjwcorp.com\/about_us\/officers\">San Jose Water Company<\/a>, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJW Corp. In this position, Gere has primary and direct responsibility for all company field activities and departments. He supports and advises the CEO in decision making and has primary responsibility for design, development, implementation, reporting, and monitoring of key performance metrics, policies, and procedures for the company. Guerriero (B.S. Materials Science and Engineering, \u201812) joined Mandiant, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mandiant.com\/\">A FireEye&#x2122; Company<\/a>, as a senior consultant. Previously, he was an advisory senior associate in Cybersecurity at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) performing security assessments, penetration testing (ethical hacking), and cybercrime &amp; breach response. As a student, Guerriero interned with PwC, BlumShapiro, and CIGNA.
