This Spring 2024, UConn John Dempsey Hospital is nationally recognized once again as a national champion in patient safety by the nonprofit watchdog The Leapfrog Group.<\/p>\n
UConn\u2019s teaching hospital has earned its seventh consecutive \u2018A\u2019 Hospital Safety Grade for its strong track record of providing its patients with care that meets the highest possible ratings for patient safety.<\/p>\n

Leapfrog assigns an \u201cA,\u201d \u201cB,\u201d \u201cC,\u201d \u201cD\u201d or \u201cF\u201d grade to general hospitals across the country based on over thirty measures of errors, accidents, injuries, and infections as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.<\/p>\n
