{"id":225733,"date":"2025-02-14T13:42:23","date_gmt":"2025-02-14T18:42:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?p=225733"},"modified":"2025-02-14T13:42:23","modified_gmt":"2025-02-14T18:42:23","slug":"top-10-in-us-for-3-hospital-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2025\/02\/top-10-in-us-for-3-hospital-services\/","title":{"rendered":"Top 10% in US for 3 Hospital Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UConn Health ranks among the nation\u2019s top 10% in joint replacement, major orthopedic surgery, and overall medical care, according to an objective third-party measurement of U.S. hospitals\u2019 quality performance.<\/p>\n<p>The firm Bluebook Quantros, which uses proprietary metrics to score inpatient quality performance across general, acute, and nonfederal hospitals, issued a total of four 2025 CareChex Awards for Medical Excellence to UConn\u2019s John Dempsey Hospital. The fourth is for ranking in the top 10% in the Northeast Region for overall hospital care.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very proud of the quality care our providers and staff deliver, and it is always extremely rewarding when we earn this tremendous recognition,\u201d says Caryl Ryan, chief nursing officer and the hospital\u2019s chief operating officer and vice president for quality and patient care services. \u201cOur hospital continues to be consistently recognized by national organizations for providing high-quality care, and CareChex is now one of many.
