The scientific breadth and depth of research presented across disciplines were commendable,&#8221; says Kumar Venkitanarayanan, senior associate dean for research and graduate education. Congratulations to all the presenters, and sincere thanks to the faculty mentors, judges and volunteers who made the event a success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dean Indrajeet Chaubey provided opening remarks and discussed the importance of sharing research with as broad an audience as possible.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We live in a time when the ability to communicate science beyond the lab or the discipline has never been more important. Whether you\u2019re talking to policy makers, industry leaders, community members, or your fellow CAHNR graduate students in a diverse field of study, you\u2019re often speaking to people with very different backgrounds. We can\u2019t assume that everyone will immediately understand the importance or impact of our work, but we can see each interaction as an opportunity to give and gain knowledge.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This year, a keynote address was given by Arvind Balasundaram, executive director of commercial insights &amp; analytics at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.
