(Emily Laput)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-teams=\"true\">During their clinical rotations, students will encounter profound experiences\u2014whether holding a newborn for the first time or offering comfort to a patient at the end of life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Transitions Ceremony is an important milestone in a nursing student&#8217;s educational journey,\u201d said Elizabeth Mayerson,\u00a0DNP, FNP-BC, CNE. \u201cTo the students, it represents the excitement of starting off campus clinical. (Emily Laput)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>During the ceremony, the class of 2027 heard from Dean Victoria Vaughan Dickson,\u00a0Ph.D., RN, FAHA, FHFSA, FAAN,\u00a0Clinical Instructor, Amanda Moreau,\u00a0MSN, RN,\u00a0student David Gorski \u201926 NURS, and Mayerson, an assistant clinical professor and director of prelicensure programs.<\/p>\n<p>Every student&#8217;s name was called and celebrated individually. After, Gorski led the junior class through the PRAXIS pledge. Faculty and clinical staff then administered lavender essential oils on their hands, symbolizing spirituality, purification, calmness, and higher consciousness.
