In this role, Edward fosters relationships with pharmacy stakeholders, develops policies and procedures\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW125025990 BCX0\">that\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW125025990 BCX0\">NPSC\u2019s participating pharma<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW125025990 BCX0\">cies may require, and analyzes the\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun ContextualSpellingAndGrammarErrorV2Themed SCXW125025990 BCX0\">community<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW125025990 BCX0\">\u00a0pharmacy landscape to advance innovation in the field.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW125025990 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW189546006 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW189546006 BCX0\">Edward\u2019s early career roles included<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW189546006 BCX0\"> Staff Pharmacist at St. Francis Pharmacy and Stoll\u2019s Prescription Center and a Registered Pharmacist and Certified Garment Fitter. Edward\u2019s longest role was <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW189546006 BCX0\">in Stoll\u2019s Pharmacy, Inc<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW189546006 BCX0\">.<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW189546006 BCX0\">\u00a0as a Corporation President and Pharmacy Manager. Combining his passion for pharmacy with his passion for leadership, Edward directed all aspects of\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW189546006 BCX0\">retail pharmacy and developed pharmacist-led chronic disease management programs.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW189546006 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">When Edward is not sharpening his professionalism, he\u2019s perfecting his leadership skills. As a Network Facilitator and Payor Engagement Specialist in the New England Chapter of Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network (CPESN), Edward works to secure grant funded programs and supports network development in the organization. He\u2019s also completed Clinically Integrated Network Training and participated in the Payor Engagement Learning Series through CPESN.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Aside from Edward\u2019s continued support of the\u00a0School\u00a0through\u00a0his service on\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">The\u00a0UConn School of Pharmacy\u00a0Advisory\u00a0Board<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">,\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0also a proud member of various professional organizations, including the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, Connecticut Pharmacists Association, and National Community Pharmacists Association.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cPharmacy is a vital profession that touches lives every day. (\u201811)<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">A graduate of the\u00a0School\u00a0in 2011,\u00a0Justine completed her post-graduate training as a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident at Yale New Haven Hospital\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0St. Raphael\u2019s Campus.\u00a0After this training, she pursued a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Launching her career in ambulatory care,\u00a0Justine\u00a0currently serves as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Ambulatory Care at Boston Medical Center. She has co-authored multiple publications, given poster presentations across the United States, reviewed manuscripts for some of the leading pharmacy journals, been featured on podcasts, and,\u00a0most recently presented twice at the National Kidney Foundation\u2019s Spring Clinical Meeting, highlighting the impact that pharmacists can have in the continuity of care of patients from CKD through kidney transplantation\u00a0as well as how a pharmacist-run anemia clinic can help close a gap in care\u00a0and improve quality of life.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">&#8220;Be the kind of provider that you would want caring for your family member, friend, or yourself. When you lead with empathy and respect, you transform healthcare from a transaction to a human connection.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Justine\u2019s commitment to leadership and mentorship is most notable in her service to Lambda Kappa Sigma (LKS), a professional pharmacy fraternity focused on \u201celevating women in pharmacy.&#8221; She has served on the LKS Grand Council since 2020 as the current Grand Vice President for Collegiates in Lambda Kappa Sigma (LKS). In addition she serves as a preceptor to Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) pharmacy students from multiple schools of pharmacy, as well as PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents.
