Edward Schreiner BS (\u201882)<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Graduating from\u00a0the\u00a0UConn\u00a0School of\u00a0Pharmacy in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Edward\u00a0remains\u00a0committed to the\u00a0School\u00a0through his\u00a0involvement.\u00a0As an Emeritus Member of the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy Advisory Board,\u00a0Edward offers support to the\u00a0School\u00a0in\u00a0its\u00a0commitment to education, research, and community service.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A seasoned pharmacy executive with over four decades of experience, Edward\u2019s <\/span>expertise<\/span>\u00a0in pharmacy-based care delivery, regulatory compliance, and payor engagement has been honed by his current position as Vice President of Network Development at Northeast P<\/span>harmacy Service Corporation (NPSC) in Framingham, Massachusetts. In this role, Edward fosters relationships with pharmacy stakeholders, develops policies and procedures\u00a0<\/span>that\u00a0<\/span>NPSC\u2019s participating pharma<\/span>cies may require, and analyzes the\u00a0<\/span>community<\/span>\u00a0pharmacy landscape to advance innovation in the field.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Edward\u2019s early career roles included<\/span> Staff Pharmacist at St. Francis Pharmacy and Stoll\u2019s Prescription Center and a Registered Pharmacist and Certified Garment Fitter. Edward\u2019s longest role was <\/span>in Stoll\u2019s Pharmacy, Inc<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0as a Corporation President and Pharmacy Manager. Combining his passion for pharmacy with his passion for leadership, Edward directed all aspects of\u00a0<\/span>retail pharmacy and developed pharmacist-led chronic disease management programs.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When Edward is not sharpening his professionalism, he\u2019s perfecting his leadership skills. As a Network Facilitator and Payor Engagement Specialist in the New England Chapter of Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network (CPESN), Edward works to secure grant funded programs and supports network development in the organization. He\u2019s also completed Clinically Integrated Network Training and participated in the Payor Engagement Learning Series through CPESN.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Aside from Edward\u2019s continued support of the\u00a0School\u00a0through\u00a0his service on\u00a0<\/span>The\u00a0UConn School of Pharmacy\u00a0Advisory\u00a0Board<\/span>,\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0also a proud member of various professional organizations, including the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, Connecticut Pharmacists Association, and National Community Pharmacists Association.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Justine\u00a0Dickson Pharm.D. (\u201811)<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A graduate of the\u00a0School\u00a0in 2011,\u00a0Justine completed her post-graduate training as a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident at Yale New Haven Hospital\u00a0–\u00a0St. Raphael\u2019s Campus.\u00a0After this training, she pursued a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Launching her career in ambulatory care,\u00a0Justine\u00a0currently serves as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Ambulatory Care at Boston Medical Center. In this role,\u00a0Justine\u00a0focuses on the management of kidney transplant patients and leads\u00a0a pharmacist-run anemia clinic for patients with chronic kidney\u00a0disease\u00a0(CKD).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Winning several awards,\u00a0including<\/span>\u00a0Preceptor of the Year in the\u00a0Boston Medical Center (BMC)\u00a0Pharmacy Residency Program (2024), the Be Exceptional Award from Boston Medical Center (2017), and\u00a0the\u00a0Lambda Kappa Sigma Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award (2018),\u00a0Justine\u00a0has excelled in roles of leadership and service.\u00a0Most recently,\u00a0Justine\u00a0has been\u00a0honored with\u00a0the\u00a02025\u00a0Tradition of Excellence Award, which she will receive at the Annual Alumni Awards on October 18<\/span>th<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Providing high value care and improving outcomes for a diverse patient population,\u00a0<\/span>Justin<\/span>e has made a remarkable impact<\/span>\u00a0at BMC,\u00a0<\/span>with a\u00a0<\/span>focus on<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>n<\/span>avigating patients through the complexities of healthcare while honoring the ethnic, religious, and cultural differences of her patients<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This success for\u00a0Justine\u00a0continues beyond BMC, where she has\u00a0contributed significantly to the academic and professional pharmacy communities. She has co-authored multiple publications, given poster presentations across the United States, reviewed manuscripts for some of the leading pharmacy journals, been featured on podcasts, and,\u00a0most recently presented twice at the National Kidney Foundation\u2019s Spring Clinical Meeting, highlighting the impact that pharmacists can have in the continuity of care of patients from CKD through kidney transplantation\u00a0as well as how a pharmacist-run anemia clinic can help close a gap in care\u00a0and improve quality of life.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Justine\u2019s commitment to leadership and mentorship is most notable in her service to Lambda Kappa Sigma (LKS), a professional pharmacy fraternity focused on \u201celevating women in pharmacy.” She has served on the LKS Grand Council since 2020 as the current Grand Vice President for Collegiates in Lambda Kappa Sigma (LKS). In addition she serves as a preceptor to Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) pharmacy students from multiple schools of pharmacy, as well as PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents. In 2014, Justine also founded the Resident Emotional Support Team (REST) at BMC to foster wellness and resiliency among pharmacy trainees and staff. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
