After earning her Pharm.D. from the UConn School of Pharmacy in 2014 and completing residencies at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System and The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Christina\u00a0<\/span>Polomoff<\/span>\u00a0returned to UConn in 2016 as a\u00a0<\/span><\/span>faculty member<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>population health clinical pharmacist at Hartford HealthCare, where she focuses on quality improvement and medication management for older adults.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At UConn,\u00a0<\/span>Polomoff<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>teaches in<\/span>\u00a0public health and healthcare policy and helps students develop leadership skills through the School\u2019s Leaders Track. She also\u00a0<\/span>advises<\/span>\u00a0the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) student chapter, which has earned multiple top national finishes in the P&T Competition under her mentorship.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Polomoff\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0work to advance medication safety and\u00a0<\/span>optimize<\/span>\u00a0care for older adults aligns closely with ASCP\u2019s mission. Her involvement\u00a0<\/span>with ASCP\u00a0<\/span>began as a student and has grown through roles including\u00a0<\/span>ASCP-<\/span>Connecticut Chapter President, Co-Chair of the Medication Safety and Transitions of Care Committee, and Chair of the Member and Volunteer Experience Committee. Elected to the ASCP Board of Directors in 2022, she serves on the Finance and Executive Committees and was recognized with ASCP\u2019s Next Gen-Rx Award in 2024.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cASCP has been my professional home since I was a student,\u201d\u00a0<\/span>Polomoff<\/span>\u00a0says. \u201c<\/span>It\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0where I found mentors, lifelong friends, and a shared passion for caring for older adults.\u00a0<\/span>I want to give<\/span>\u00a0back\u00a0<\/span>by ensuring every member \u2013 no matter their practice setting \u2013 feels heard, valued, and connected to the same sense of purpose that shaped my own career.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As President of the Connecticut Pharmacists Association,\u00a0<\/span>Polomoff<\/span>\u00a0has\u00a0<\/span>worked alongside colleagues and state partners on advocacy initiatives<\/span>, including Connecticut\u2019s 2022 Collaborative Drug Therapy bill. If elected ASCP President, she plans to bridge state and national priorities, strengthen member engagement, and advance fair reimbursement for pharmacists in all care settings.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCommunity is the heart of ASCP,\u201d she adds. \u201cOur members do incredible work caring for older adults. I want to make sure they know their efforts matter\u00a0<\/span>\u2013<\/span>\u00a0because<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>engaged, appreciated members are the ones who drive lasting change.\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
