{"id":237450,"date":"2025-10-28T12:50:53","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T16:50:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?p=237450"},"modified":"2025-11-12T11:11:28","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T16:11:28","slug":"uconn-and-eversource-present-clean-energy-and-sustainability-innovation-program-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2025\/10\/uconn-and-eversource-present-clean-energy-and-sustainability-innovation-program-award\/","title":{"rendered":"UConn and Eversource Present Clean Energy and Sustainability Innovation Program Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The UConn and Eversource Energy proudly presented the Clean Energy and Sustainability Innovation Program (CESIP) Award to chemical engineering Ph.D. students Azeem Sarwar and Muhammad Hassan, and chemistry Ph.D. student Maham Liaqat for their project, \u201cUConn\u2019s Wastewater to Bioenergy: Integrated Chlorella Cultivation and Pyrolysis,\u201d during the North American Power Symposium (NAPS) held on Monday, at the Hartford Marriott Downtown in Hartford.<\/p>\n<p>The award includes a full year of funding to support the team\u2019s continued work on their innovative solution.<\/p>\n<p>The CESIP challenge brought together student teams from across disciplines to develop forward-thinking solutions to pressing energy and environmental challenges.
