On\u202fFriday, March 20, as the clock struck noon, UConn-blue envelopes were ripped open, with the annual\u202fexhilaration of National\u202fMatch\u202fDay\u202ffilling the air with loud cheers, along with happy tears and sighs of relief. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The crowd of over 100 fourth-year medical students, along with UConn faculty, family, and friends, gathered for the thrilling annual moment in the Academic Rotunda at UConn School of Medicine, to celebrate Connecticut\u2019s largest producer of physicians\u2019 Match Day success and to reveal the soon-to-be doctors residency training destinies for the next several years \u2013 at Connecticut hospitals like UConn John Dempsey Hospital or others across the country.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nationally, each year at the same time on\u202fMatch\u202fDay\u202fmedical students\u00a0at UConn and\u00a0those\u00a0around the country learn their residency\u202fmatches.\u202f<\/span><\/p>\n
