This special enrollment period will be held from <strong>May 1-31, 2026<\/strong>. Alliant will be reaching out to University employees directly from <a href=\"mailto:uconnenrollment@alliant.com\">uconnenrollment@alliant.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During this enrollment period, you have access to the following benefit options that are guaranteed issue (no medical underwriting questions). Future enrollment requests after May 31, 2026, may require a medical questionnaire to purchase this coverage:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Short-Term Disability (The Hartford)<\/li>\n<li>Long-Term Disability (The Hartford)<\/li>\n<li>Universal Life Insurance (MetLife)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These programs are designed to help provide additional financial protection and peace of mind for you and your family during your employment. These benefits are portable, allowing you to keep this coverage after separation from UConn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Enroll <\/strong><br \/>\nTo enroll or learn more, please contact Alliant\u2019s Benefits Service Center at <strong>1-877-252-2051<\/strong>. Licensed Benefit Counselors are available to assist you Monday through Friday, from <strong>9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST<\/strong>.
